Curved Silver & 24 carat gold Keum Boo Stud earrings.
 
Silver square wire curved and shaped cut to size, soldered to silver ear posts and decorated with 24 carat gold using Keum Boo method, then oxidised to darken the silver and highlight the contrast gold details. All sides are decorated with the gold abstract design so they look good from all angles. A lovely pair of earrings.
 
Keum Boo meaning "attached gold" is an ancient jewellery technique originating in Korea, which is used to attach gold to silver. The bonding of gold and silver is achieved through pressure and heat.
 
Fitted with silicone ear backs, if preferred can also be supplied with silver butterfly backs.
(I prefer the silicone as I find them easier to fit and less likely to bend the earpost)
