Fine Silver & 24 carat gold Keum Boo earrings.
 
Silver rectangles cut in 999 fine silver, textured and decorated with 24 carat gold using Keum Boo method, then oxidised to darken the silver and highlight and contrast the gold details.
 
The textures on these earrings have made in, what I'm calling, a hashtag pattern made with a dremel tool at different directions, then polished back lightly to give a further contrast. A perfect way to wear both silver and gold, with these unique and individual earrings, handmade in Derbyshire.
 
Fitted with sterling silver or gold ear wires. I also fit silicone ear backs if you want to secure your earrings with a discreet little ear back, remove them if not needed.
 
Keum Boo meaning "attached gold" is an ancient jewellery technique originating in Korea, which is used to attach gold to silver. The bonding of gold and silver is achieved through pressure and heat.
