Fine Silver & 24 carat Gold Textured Keum Boo earrings.
 
Fine Silver rectangles have been cut, textured in places with vintage lace through a rolling mill and decorated with 24 carat gold using Keum Boo method, then oxidised to darken the silver and highlight and contrast the gold details.
 
The textures have then been polished lightly to give a contrast and highlight the polished silver in places.
 
Fitted with sterling silver or gold ear wires.
 
Keum Boo meaning "attached gold" is an ancient jewellery technique originating in Korea, which is used to attach gold to silver. The bonding of gold and silver is achieve through pressure and heat.
