Fine Silver & 24 carat gold Keum Boo Pendant
 
Disc cut in 999 fine silver, textured with a hammer in parts and decorated with 24 carat gold using Keum Boo method, then oxidised to darken the silver and highlight and contrast the gold details.
 
The texture has then been polished lightly to highlight the silver texture and give a further contrast.
 
The sterling silver chain and jump ring can be oxidised to darken to match the pendant, last picture shown with 925 silver oxidised chain.
 
Keum Boo meaning "attached gold" is an ancient jewellery technique originating in Korea, which is used to attach gold to silver. The bonding of gold and silver is achieved through pressure and heat.
Each pendant is handmade and unique, so the pendant supplied may vary slightly from the one in the picture but will be very similar.
