Fine Silver and 24K Keum Boo Pendant

Textured Fine Silver pendant, decorated with 24k gold using Keum Boo method.
 
Rectangle pendant cut and shaped from Fine Silver 999, textured with lace and decorated with 24k gold using Keum Boo method, then Oxidised to darken the silver and highlight and contrast the gold details.
 
The textures have been polished lightly to give further contrast and show highlights of the polished silver in places.
 
Keum Boo meaning “attached gold” is an ancient technique originating in Korea, which is used to attach gold to silver. The bonding of gold and silver is achieved through pressure and heat.
 
Fitted with Sterling silver 18in snake chain.
