Square silver wire, cut and soldered, decorated with 24 carat gold using Keum Boo method, then oxidised to darken the silver and highlight and contrast the gold details.
 
The 925 sterling silver snake chain has been oxidised to darken to match the pendant.
 
Keum Boo meaning "attached gold" is an ancient jewellery technique originating in Korea, which is used to attach gold to silver. The bonding of gold and silver is achieved through pressure and heat.
